“Tiffany Style Lamps and Masako”
Although stained glass lamps are often called Tiffany lamps, the name does not refer only to the works created by Louis C. Tiffany himself.
The style has developed unique designs and forms over time, becoming known worldwide as Tiffany-style lamps.
The Association of Stained Glass Lamp Artists (A.K.A. ASGLA) featured numerous works by up-and-coming artists from around the world in its annual calendars, and around the year 2000 it was considered a leading platform for stained glass lamp artists.
Many of Masako’s lamp pieces were selected by ASGLA during that time.

Masako made this lamp in remembrance of my dog Joli. He died March 26, 2002 after 10 years and 10 months as a true member of our family. Joli loved to play underneath the cherry blossom trees (sakura) in the spring. This lamp expresses all my appreciation to my dear companion for all the happiness and warmth he brought to our family during his time with us. Though he is gone now I know that his spirit is still with me, and I will hold onto his memory forever.
